Well the iphone does not have 3g(which is a big deal for me but having both wifi and 3g is great too), inferior camera capabilities, wifi that is sometimes not reliable, no expandable memory, no removable battery, not reliable bluetooth , no mobile Tv, no haptic feedback when touchscreen pressed, etc.

if the iphone had 3g would you buy it over the lg? also how friendly do you feel the lg will be for me to use, does your comments mean the lg would be faster than the iphone and thanks for your help

even though they have the same input methods, they are for different people. im not gonna lie to you.....the Iphone is hot as hell. i've played with a friends, and it is cool. but some people just dont like the software....some people just want to be different. personally i dont use any apple products because of the software, its too smart for me. (tries to do too much automatically) but the Lg seems like a nice alternative if you want a touch phone. i know i am anxious to try it out.

I've been using it for quite sometime now. The size is great,Media flo rocks and the 3G speeds are awesome. Very easy to navigate. I'm a bit disappointed with the touch screen interface, not as responsive as the iphone. It has your typical Smartphone features. The keyboard is very disappointing. It's so small that you need a stylus (not included) to be able to type without making a mistake. Other than that, it should give the iphone a good competition.

We posted the Vu specs a bit early compared to most phones. We just updated the specs today based on some hands-on time with it. We've confirmed features like calendar, calculator, etc.
We also discovered that its camera is auto-focus! 🙂 We have no idea why LG left that important fact off the spec sheet... 😕

The TV works awesome on this phone. That is about all this phone does well though..
I was hoping that this phone would have a superior browsing experience. That's really what I wanted, a high-quality, 3g experience. While the pages loaded up fast enough, the touch interface is weak. Navigating the phone was not slick and natural like the iphone.
The phone feels light and cheap. The screen felt uncalibrated honestly, but I didn't see anywhere you could adjust it. Typing on it was difficult and you are not able to flip through things naturally like the iphone. The touch interface was pretty sad overall. You will have to really work to get used to how you have to actually press the screen lightly to click instead of just tapping ...

well i know when i had to switch from my blackberry pearl to a blackjack i felt like i had switched to a telegraph!

That's an amazingly poor review for a phone that's not even out yet.
Could you have possibly been playing with a prototype? An early version that did not have all of the kinks out yet? Prototype handsets are hand made and sometimes look and feel different then actual production handsets.
Just so you know, you CAN adjust the calibration on the handset, and it's very easy to do. Mainly because the phone is very easy to navigate through. Oh, the Calibration Setting happens to be an option under Settings! (I do not think you've actually seen this phone since you couldn't figure that simple part out).
To navigate around the phone, I just "tap" the screen, just like you mention that you can on the iPhone. Except here I can use a ...

no gps makes it a deal killer for me otherwise I like what I see
...
I agree, GPS is very important for me too.
...
what is a good option, I don't want the bb or pda- ideally it would be 3g voicecommand with gps maybe I need 2 phones one in the car for email and gps the other for voice
...
It has bluetooth, and bluetooth gps modules can be found cheap on ebay. I use one with my w580 and have no problems, so don't let something that trivial be a deal breaker on any phone.

good and Thanks I am too old to stay on top of all this again Thanks
