A flash?
Just curious, does the new enV2 have a flash for the camera???
...
Hi! To answer your question, no, this phone doesn't have a flash.I don't own it yet, but will soon, I love it when I played around with it in a Verizon store. But according to other people's experience, it still takes very good pictures. Hope this helps!

To be honest, I think the enV2 camera is inferior to other camera units like the Voyager and the original enV.
Both of those units contained auto-focus. The enV had a lense protector. The auto-focus is something you don't always notice, but I put my gf's env next to my env2 and took pics of the same things. Auto-focus really can make a difference. Her phone consistently took better shots. Honestly the enV2 is a step backwards in most regards.
It's saving grace is the Zoom/Rotation/Crop feature. You can effectively resize and reshape your pictures, and crop on the go. It's a feature I'm quickly falling in love with.

There's no flash, but I took a few photos at a museum yesterday and they turned out fine. Not dedicated digital camera fine, but more than adequate for casual shots. Just be sure to shoot in the best available light and hold the phone steady.
Don't expect ANY tiny cellular phone camera LED flash to illuminate anything more than two feet from the lens anyway. The best that you can expect of a regular compact digital camera's strobe is about ten or twelve feet.
