LG enV2 (VX-9100)
BATTERY LIFE
im deciding whether or not to return this phone for another env2
i fully charged the phone at 11am sunday morning
by 3 pm monday afternoon i was down from 4 bars to three bars (and this with very light to moderate use)
factor in i have my backlight external and internal screens set to 30 seconds and the bluetooth off.
Would you guys think that with all these factors the battery is a dud and i should get another? or should i try it again with the backlight settings at 7 seconds and play it by ear? and advice is appreciated
they had 4 bars for 2 days
and 3 bars for 2 more days and so forth and so forth with light to moderate use.
so im thinking if i went down to three bars after one day of LIGHT USE thats not saying to much for my battery life
First, have you fully charged and FULLY discharged the battery (at least to the low battery warning)3 to 5 times? YES this helps.
1)Are you keeping your phone in your pocket?- Every time you bump a key, you bring up the back light and you have it set on 30 seconds.
2)If you want to really test the battery, fully charge it, wait until free calling time and call a number like your home number or another VZW phone that is plugged in(not on a battery) and leave it on until it disconnects.
You will be able to check the call time and see how long it lasts. On this phone, it seems to have a longer battery life than any other phone.
I have seen in the order of 5 hours of talk time.
Hope this helps.
CaptJeff is correct about a few charge/discharge cycles. That's called conditioning the battery.
I find the enV² battery life exceptional. Give yourself a week or so before checking with your local store's tech support guys.
