screen malfunction
k9fanJul 30, 2008, 12:59 AM
I just got my env2 to say and both the internal and external screens seem to go bonkers if I accidentally press them together WHILE texting with the qwerty keyboard. I find it hard to believe that the phone is so sensitive. I'm getting ready to take it back to VZW.
Has anyone else had this problem? âšī¸

I'm not sure how you are pressing both the internal and external screens while texting from the qwerty keypad. Seems very awkward. That being said, I've not heard of or read of the screens going goofy with the enV2 and I've read tons of stuff. Sounds like a isolated malfunction. I'd say take it back and get a new phone.

I agree, sounds like a defect to me. A replacement should fix the issue completely.

I returned the faulty phone and got a new one and so far have had NO problems. I love the phone......the only thing I've found so far that I miss from my old phone (LG-8600) is that in the contacts list I was able to save a geographical address in the "e-mail" section. However, when I tried it with the Env2....I get a message saying that it's "invalid" and it will NOT let me save an address that's not a e-mail address. đ

Have you tried fooling it by typing your "geographical address" to resemble an email address? Something like (without spaces) 123MainStreetAnytownFL@xyz.com

If you use "Backup Assistant", you can type 'non-conforming' data into e-mail2 such as street address, company/job title, etc. with the web application.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to edit it on the 'env2'. Oh well!
