Or did AT&T give the iPhone treatment for its exclusivity?
...
Article states that ATT&T is carrying it, tenatively... Maybe T-Mo will get shafted for a while and pick it up later?? Dunno. ๐คจ
...
Tmo should get the Javelin except 2G.
...
tmobile wont carry att has exclusive rights to this phone for forseable future per RIM. got to see one other day in my store a RIM technician was in are testing it. awesome phone !!!!!!!!!!cant wait!!!!!!!!!!

If you were, for some reason, a T-mobile customer-- why would you possibly want this phone? Definitely not to use it's high speed data capabilities, or wide coverage range-- as you get none of this with TMO coverage! Just another status symbol?
...
actually t-mobile should get this at the end of the year. not verizon. verizon is exclusively getting the BB touchscreen when it's released. t-mobile has started its work on a 3g network, they're just not making noise about it cause right now it's only around new york and they have a limited number of phones that run 3g.
...
I would like to know where you get your information from. I doubt that RIM, who is one of the best manufacturers of smartphones in the world, would release a touchscreen device exclusively on a cdma network. If verizon sells enough bb's to get and exclusive device, why didnt they get this brand new flagship phone. Also could you post the link with information about this bb touch.
p.s. this post wasnt supposed to sound argumentative or sarcastic ive just heard a lot of "talk" about this bb touch, and if it does exist im going to be a very happy person
...
hey
im sorry and completely disreguard my last post. i just found pics of the new touch device and it looks amazing. It is also pictured with verizon branding so once again i do apologize but up until today i have thought this touch bb to be all internet hype.

Don't get too carried away. While the pics that are out are shown with VZ branding this will not be an exclusive device for VZ. In fact it will also have a 3g version for att early 2009, VZ won't have it before then in fact the odds are that att beats VZ to market with it again.
This will be largely due to the fact that we won't probably see an iPhone 3.0 until late 09 but likely mid 2010....

Javelin is the next step for the Curve which Tmo will get. The Bold is actually the 8800 with camera which Verizon and Sprint will get after ATT gets it. The first BB Touch will be exclusive to Verizon, so ATT will get their own BB touch which is a ways away.
...
worse case scenario u can just get the vodafone version which is GSM and unlock it to work in the states ......
so just cause verizon will get it first doesn't mean we can't use it

i have read the vodafone thunder will only support european gsm networks, as the vzw thunder will too. if thats the case, it will stay with vzw or another european carrier
...
Actually talked to my fried who works for blackberry and every carrier is going to get a touchscreen blackberry. T-mob should be getting the flip phone and the touch screen, didn't ask him about the Jav.
...
Your friend works for Blackberry eh?
doing what? Just curious since I am also in the business, and lets just safely say that the regional rep for Northeast, doesnt even have that information.. but your "friend" does?
Interesting.

the thunder will be exclusize to vzw and vodafone. if the thunder is what you are talking about
...
Good call-- I had completely forgot TMO was beginning to build a 3g network! Hopefully, for them, it isn't too little--too late! :-) ๐

If there's a touch version of a bb coming out I'd love to see what it looks like too...If you have a link with some pics on it then send it over, I'm interested...
