I recently watched the hands on video of the storm, courtesy crackberry.com. They show the Storm having a SIM card tray in it for Global usage. since the primarily CDMA phone has a SIM tray in it, does this mean that it will accept an at&t SIM, if the device is unlocked?

We were talking about that tonight on #blackberry on the efnet irc. I mean its nice, but to get one off contract then unlock it to use on either AT&T or TMO and without 3g is pretty expensive. As well as support that won't come from either carrier or rim.

All in all both the Bold and Storm are nice phones. On the surface I would rather have a Storm, but in reality the Bold just might have better usability, so it comes down to choice.

The lack of 3g on the unlocked storm is the deal breaker. I use the bold and love it. It has the fuctionality I need in a phone, but the theory of the storm on at&t's 3g network is efinitely attractive. The lack of wifi would also be a dealbreaker for the storm. Ill just stick to the bold.
