Text Messaging question
considering the Bold this week and just wanted to know about the messaging feature..
Can you see the entire convo? or is it just what the other person is sending?
any info will be very helpful. im getting it Tuesday,,and I have been a "Palm guy" and am used to Windows Mobile 5 or 6.

Texting is not like it is on the Palm, but when you do look at your text messages, you can adjust the number of previous texts you also see. I have mine set at seven, so that means that when I open a text from someone, it also shows me the previous seven msgs (out and in). You can adjust that number up as high as you want, but I've never needed more.
You can also scroll down the list at previous messages and when you open them, I can also see the seven messages prior to that.
The SMS message box is not like a normal cell either where you have an inbox and a separate outbox. Both inbound and outbound are in the same message box so you can follow a conversation pretty easily.

The iPhone has it setup like the palm where you see the conversation saved in an ongoing screen so you can just scroll up and see the previous posts kind of like an IM window that never closes. Blackberry is similar where if you get a text back from someone as a reply it comes through as a new text but you can scroll down in the text to see the previous portions of the same conversation that are attached to that reply. It does not go back endlessly like on the iphone but it works very well for most peoples needs
