So I felt the new Blackberry flip phone today! Pretty nice! Its about time blackberry came out with a flip. I am not a huge fan of flip phones myself but it is nice to see something new coming to the market. The phone has very squared edges and it has the same sure type keyboard as the pearl. Not exactly for sure on the specs but it is supposed to be comparable to the pearl but from what I understand it is supposed to add 3G like the bold (to be released late august or early september and the flip style pearl will be out shortly after)

that this phone is going to be a partial touch screen? Now is this true? I dont believe it because when you look at the phone on here it doesnt say anything about the phone being a touch screen but i here a lot of people saying its going to be a partial touch screen? i thinks its because they are dumb tho so someone let me know.

It may look like an iPhone 3G but a 3G iPhone it's not.

I am considering this phone, but would really like to understand the advantage of having both 3G and WiFi available vs some of the other models that only have one or the other. I currently have a Pearl and find the internet to be a bit slow loading pages, etc. Can some explain to me why I want both before making a final decision? Thanks!!!! 🙂

Bold has been pushed back (AT&T) until at least Sept '08. The reason it has been pushed back is because it hasn't passed At&t's quality testing yet. The major issues are still the battery and the software.

I don't know anything about BB. But does the new bold have apps like the iphone. I really like the Iphone apps but if the Bold has apps like that I might just switch.

i personally think a leather backed phone is pretty ridiculous. it's going to get super scuffed what with how much wear and tear phones go through. and if it's in a case, the leather gets covered up. no point to it.

can you pre order it and if i have t-mobile and unlock it do you think all the features will still work? i want this phone soooooo bad.

I want to come over to AT&T in the Bold, but it looks like we might be waiting for a while for unknown reasons and the iPhone is giving folks fits. I am looking for a way to have a BB Curve with WiFi until the Bold comes out or whenever they get all the bugs worked out at AT&T. Can I buy the 8320 meant for T-Mobile and put my AT&T SIMM in it and it will work? All I want is to start my plan with AT&T and have WiFi and use the Bold as my new equipment. Really, any smart phone would work for me, but the BB seams to have the best reviews. What are my options? Right now I have a Treo on a CDMA network, so that won't work. Thanks!

hey quick question> Do you guys know when is Bold coming out to AT&T... I thought they said end of summer but here we are in September and no word. Please let me know because I really want to upgrade my phone either to Bold or maybe Curve.. Thank you 🙂

Does/Will ATT cripple the on board GPS for use with BB Maps, or do they leave it open? I don't know if this is common practice with ATT on their RIM devices. Alltel forces you to use Telenav to "unlock" the service, then BB Maps operates.

I know its a guessing game at this point, but what do you guys think a reasonable price will be for this beast for with a contract renewal / new act and with no contract.

Could anyone please tell me if there are plans for the BB Bold to come to verizon and if so when.

as much as i love phone scoop- i suggest you look at phonearena.com once in a while, as well. also, as someone that works in the industry- the THUNDER is what's coming to vzw next- and it is all touch screen an, well, pretty lame. i would never get another all touchscreen smart phone- never. there is the "niagra" but that's for next year.
