I have the C3 and I will tell you that the transmitter, ie from your phone to the radio is adjustable. Its merely preset on 88.1, 96.1, and 106.1. You have to adjust the tuner in open mode by hitting the Tune button and then adjusting to the right or left.
I will say the trasmitter is incredibly weak if you live in a major metro area with most stations already being occupied. I expect them to fix this though.

It is hopeful thinking to want this to happen. However, there is a reason it won't occur. A couple of years ago, there were many complaints filed with the FCC with regard to FM transmissions. XM and Sirius receivers that had the FM trasmitters on-board were notoriously known for being too strong and crowding out legitimate broadcasts. The FCC forced the manufacturers to severely reduce the range of these transmitters. Although I was in a Toyota Tacoma this weekend and the FM transmitter worked great about 80% of time.
I took my car into the shop and had them update the BT firmware so it supports the AVCR profile and now it sounds like a champ.
