Lg Chocolate 3 question

I want to get this phone, but I wonder from reading some reviews, that you have to unlock
this phone, each time you have to make a call,
is it true? Please let me know.

Not true.You only have to unlock to do anything from front screen like play music. Once open, it's ready to go

Thanks. I just received this phone, I am using
for jus few days, but I noticed that battery life is not as good as on my old LG. But it is acceptable. Thanks again.
