LG Chocolate 3 VX-8560

when I try to download the firmaware OTA I get a message saying that none is available, yet know that they have come out with a new version. Can anyone help me?

Does anyone else's phone not work when it comes to alerts from ESPN MVP? It says they are coming soon, but this feature has been out for a while and still works on phones like the Venus and EnV 2, I'm a bit confused why it doesn't with the Chocolate 3!? 😕

Thinking of upgrading to this phone. I am a big LG fan. Though my last LG could only hold 50 incoming messages forcing me to constantly delete them. So does anyone know the max this can hold incoming and outgoing?

I just got the chocolate 3 and I love it except for one huge flaw: my own voice is very loud in the handset. There's no echo - I hear my voice in real time - but it's still very distracting.

Do other C3 owners notice this or did I get a defective product?

Is the S/N under the battery the ESN number?

I have 100+ pictures on my SD card, but the Choco3 sorts them out in no specific order. Not by name, date, size, or anything else. Is there a way to sort them some way?

On my old VX8600 you could choose and set the T9 texting option. How do you set/save that setting on the Choc 3 ?

can you read text messages on the outside screen like on the 8100 and 8600?

Is there any way I can put Ringaback tones for free onto this phone??

I just got one of these phones and I've been trying to move my set of MP3 ringtones to it.
I tried using bitpim, which supports this model, found a /ringtones folder, converted and copied my file there. However, after the phone is rebooted, it doesn't seem to find my files.

What's the story? If they tried to block people from using personal ringtones to force us to pay, this baby is going back before its 30 day tryout period ends! At $150, it should allow personal MP3s as ringtones... people invest lots of time creating their tones...

is there a way you can change the lock setting on the outside screen?

I'm trying to figure out the optimial size of wallpapers for the Chocolate 3. I realize that the main screen is 240x320, but making wallpapers of that size results in borders on each side. Does anyone know the proper resolution for wallpapers?

I picked up the car charger for my C3 this past weekend and I discovered that if I plug the phone into the car charger, the FM Transmitter works like a champ as long as there isn't alot of FM interference. Keep in mind the higher the frequency, typically the better it will sound.

i currently have the voyager, i jus got it in like february, and i want to get a chocolate 3, i got to my account to upgrade to a new phone the chocolate 3 costs 299.99, now if i went to the verizon store to get one instead of gettin it online, would it still cost 299.99?

I just got this phone last week, and every call I make in my house gets dropped. I called VW and they sent me another brand new choc 3, and same thing happens. I have had VW for years and never had a service problem in my house. It barely held the call long enough to activate the phone, and it took me several attempts just to get that through 😕

So far anywhere other than inside my home it has worked fine. But when Im in here I cannot talk longer than 30 secs without it hanging up on someone, constantly. Anyone else have this problem? The tech told me they are working on a software update for this phone and that may help my problem, but he isnt sure when its coming out. Just wondering since you can play songs on the front screen if anyone had actually had the music player go off when it was in there pocket. The same way people with candybar phones sometimes have calls made by accident when they forget to lock their phones...

Also will the music play when the phone is on vibrate?

So, I pick up this phone for my wife. It's sitting on the front seat of the car. I go to walmart and not wanting to leave it sit on the seat, I stick it in my pocket with my other phone. I come back out to the car and I hear some miscellaneous beeping noises coming from my pocket. I take out this phone and it's unlocked. What's up with that? What's the point of a lock that you can undo with the push of one button? That is just so wrong at such an elementary level. Isn't it? Am I missing something?

When I connect the phone, my computer does not recognize it... or at least doesn't do much. Is there software I can get??

Seems kind of silly you still cannot select and dial contacts from front display with a connected Headset and without opening this flip. This feels like a software only upgrade that would make a lot of sense.

I have a Voyager I got last week. I used it for 3 days and it's not for me. I prefer numeric keypads. Phone is in new pristine condition. Have unopened ac adapter & USB connection port.

If anyone's interested in getting rid of their LG Chocolate VX-8560 for a voyager, I'm up for it.
