Samsung Rant M540

My phone is about 3 weeks out the box and the same thing happened when it was updating screen is lit up but no data when I put batt back in works fine till the loading screen I called sprint returned phone one more time and back to katana it was awesome 🙄 😈

Yes to permanent freeze. Had the phone 4 days. 1st three days no problem. On the 4th day I was customizing the home screen with weather and sports headlines (per instructions). The screen went blank and will not re-boot past the "sprint logo - loading" screen, then back to blank. Called customer service (no known re-set tricks). Was advised to go back to Sprint store. Back to store (no known re-set tricks there either). New phone is no on the way. Will report any issues....

yes, i have had many returned over the last week, that freeze is getting nasty, if you hit enough buttons screen will go to usb emergency mode

I understand that Samsung has released a new firmware to address this issue. Couple of questions?
- Does completely fix it? i.e. any reports of freezing w/the new firmware?
- Does the freezing issue occur under certain circumstances/during certain functions?
- Can someone provide the firmware release rev of the 'fixed' version?
