I'm curious, why does everyone think the iphone is soo cool. I have played with it and think its a nice toy, but it doesn't blow me away. The visual voicemail is definitly the best feature. I don't care about music on my phone, I prefer not to have it. I've got month problem paying for web because I like having it wherever whenever. I'm not a huge touchscreen fan. Why would I want this phone?

"Why would I want this phone?"
It doesn't sound like you would.
So don't. 🙂

Honestly, I was hoping for something a little better than that. So your saying if I don't want wifi internet and music the phones no good. What's all the hype then?

Spider, you took the words right out of my mouth word for word. Great minds do think alike. To the OP if you dont want it then dont get it.
However you wont find a friendlier, easier to use, and more elegant user interface than what Apple provides with the iPhone.
With the new version 2.0 and the new App store its going to be even better.

Alright here's the thing I guess I didn't make myself clear. I am interested in web and organization and like having a pda,but why the I phone, why is everyone scrambling to get it. Why would I not have another pda with more features that costs less. Is it just because its an ipod? Why?

The iphone is very user friendly. It makes setting up appts , notes and using the internet very easy. Until you own one or played with one alot, will you GET IT.. I wouldn't use it for an ipod myself but I can understand why other's do. The visual voicemail feature is the best feature on the phone. If your not a fan of touch than maybe you should go to the blackberry roller ball. Either way both of Blackberry and Iphone are Top PDA's on the market..

I not sure I would call the I phone a PDA. I think the blackberry, palm, and windows mobile devices are more productive than the I phone. But windows mobiles operating system crashes and the palm one is dated, but still they can do more than the I phone. And the blackberry blows the I phone away which is why business users opt for the crackberry and not the I phone. The I phone is more of a flashy toy for kids not really a PDA.

What makes a PDA a PDA?
...
1. an operating system that can run apps independent of the hardware
2. touch screen
3. development tools for apps
4. usb connection for syncing
5. email

Actually, business users go to the BBerry because of the fantastic email capabilities. I've lost count of how many business users have come into the store wishing they could get an iPhone, but can't because they need corporate email push. The new iPhone addresses that issue. I have a bazillion business clients that are just itching for the new one. I can't wait to see my commission check next month!!! 😁
