Upgrading to 3G iphone question (att employees help?)
Ok I am an existing iphone att customer. My phone is totally legal and still under warrenty, not jailbroken, unlocked, etc..
I am interested in upgrading to the new 3G iphone. I figured I should sell mine to a friend, or on ebay.
Should I get my SIM card removed? Do I have to bring it into an apple or ATT store to do that? Or should I just sell it as is with my SIM card in it?
Just trying to figure out what the best and safest solution is for upgrading.

If you decide to sell or give your iPhone to someone, sync up with itunes first and go to the iphone general info page. Hit the "restore device" button and wipe your phone. ONLY do this when you are ready to get rid of it because it will totally restore the phone to original settings, including any data you have on the phone. Once you have done that, take out the sim card. The new user will need to get a new sim anyway in order to activate the phone. Hope this helps.

At the top of your iPhone, you'll notice a covered slot with a small pin-hole next to it, looks kinda like this; -----. Insert the straightened tip of a paper clip into the pin-hole and it should eject the SIM. Not sure how far to push or how much force it takes, but it shouldn't be too difficult.
