Locking the E71
I just bought an E71 from Best Buy Mobile today and I was wondering if there's anyway to lock the phone quicker then pressing the power button and pressing lock keypad. If someone can help me with that that would be great thanks.

Yes there is.
When the phone is unlocked, use the same buttons that you would use to unlock it (blue button and then immediately the function key)

thank you very much. now i just need to find a way to change the email designated button to go to my text messages and find a way to get threaded messages on the e71. And how to change the icons on the front screen.

For e-mail button change:
Menu->Tools->Settings->General->personalizati on->One Touch Keys->Messaging Key-> and then either short press or longer press-> find and select "messaging" -> up to you which view you prefer.
As far as I know, there is no way to get threaded messages on the e71, unless you load 3rd party app, which I am not sure if it even exists.

you've helped very much much more then all the forums i've looked at so is there anyway to reprogram the side mute button thats used for voice control right now? Oh and is there a faster way to reply to a sms cause i found a faster way to send messages by just pressing the send talk key. Thanks for all the help.

you can remap those keys to do your bidding by installing magickey
now magic key is unsigned so its not as easy as just installing it.. you have to pretty mutch hack your phoen but its easy 5 min process look it up online.. magic key.. dont forget .. that program was the best thing i ever put on my e71
