Just got phone. Did Verizon Disable GPS and FM radio???
On the HTC web site, it indicates this phone has built in GPS antenna and FM radio...where are they? Did Verizon disable it?
...
I heard that they might do this so you have to use their crappy VZNavigator and pay them money for it, but a rep told me that you can use the GPS without having to use Verizons Navigator service.
I would like to hear from you though if the feature really is there or if the rep just had no clue what they were talking about (about an 80% chance)
I dont know if you can confirm this, but can you stream XM radio on this phone from the internet. I saw on AT&Ts site the their version of this phone can stream XM radio.
Let us know how you make out with this phone.

I'm going to try the GPS, but I don't see it anywhere on the phone. I really hope Verizon did not disable it. If they did, I will return the phone and may switch carriers. I will at the very least look into false representation. There was a class action suit against Verizon a few years back because of the Motorola V710, they disable something to do with bluetooth so you would have to pay them for another service. They are so greedy. The designer's make a great phone and Verizon cripples it. You can stream XM, because I was able to do it with my Samsung I750 and Treo 755.

How do you stream XM to the phone?

GPS- If you dont pay for VZ Navigator.
The gps on your phone is useless.
Pay for VZ Navigator and the GPS works with Google Maps.
FM radio, you need to plug in the headset dongle, along with the headphones, the headphones are the antenna.
That is probably the one thing Verizon doesnt bleed money from you for.
