Online review says reception is bad
The review of the Eclipse on info sync world says the reception is bad...they say they couldn't get a signal where other Sprint phones had a bar or two.
Can anyone who owns this phone comment on the truth to this?

I can't comment as an owner but from a few other reviews I've seen it looks to have good reception. Plus, the sales rep at the Sprint store I went to, to check it out, said that it should be pretty good.
But again..I don't actually own the phone yet, so any comments from owners would be appreciated 🙂

I've seen a couple of reviews too, where they said the reception is bad. I've been using it for a week now in a moderate signal area and haven’t had any issues other than occasional roaming and some dropped calls.
The reception is similar to the original Katana in side-by-side comparison.

The Eclipse is not up to Sanyo's usual standards for reception. Reception is much better than my Motorola Razr v9m. Of course the Moto display was larger. Trade offs...
