so y pay $300 for a non smartphone and be forced to have a smartchoice plan, when you can have a HTC Diamond for $50 more with full blown internet?

Well IMO many people nowadays are getting plans with data, so I don't see it being a far stretch for Alltel to say that it needs a data plan... not all that much different than the iPhone (except that the Delve's plan is cheaper).
Even though I don't agree that the data plan is mandatory, I understand the move by Alltel. And yes, I have worked as an Alltel salesperson too and know how it can be to explain to someone that in order to buy a certain phone they need a data plan... It's a hard sell, but this phone seems worth it! ^^

you should exchange for another... my roomate got one a week ago and i sell them (US CELLULAR) and it has been nothing but smooth software wize....great phone
