Verizon Website Does not confirm Wi-Fi
Does anyone know if this unit is Wi-Fi or if Verizon has done another weird lock out of a function of a phone?

It has wifi 🙂 http://www.phonedog.com/cell-phone-videos/sam sung-omnia-verizon-unboxing-and-hands-on.aspx

They don't list do to the fact to any PDA or BB phone bought through them has to have a data package. So no real reason for them to post it. But on Samsung site the down load of the owners books does show it. It's a pdf file that covers everything thing that the phone can do.

under your reasoning since every phone has to have a voice package theres no reason for posting speakerphone... its ok to admit Verizon makes mistakes 👀

Yes the phone companies do screw up. But since most of them have you by the "cup" they list what works for them.

It has Wi-Fi. I used it. It also has DLNA, so you can stream your photos, music, and video to any DLNA TV or set-top-box. I sort-of used that as well.
However, the Wi-Fi was very buggy in the version I tried. I may not have been using final software, though... not sure.

I asked customer service the same question for the same reason. This was before I realized that you need to order a data plan if you buy this phone, so as someone mentioned earlier, what difference does it make?
