Can anyone tell me how to send a text message from this phone please?
Thanks

Sure thing. Easy as can be! http://i500.nopdesign.com/ Down-load the one way messenger software here. I've been using it without a problem for 7 months or so on my I500. Works fine. There's also a Skin selector there that allows you to add new wallpapers to the phone. It tricks the phone into thinking the new wallpaper is the "Trees" default picture, but doesn't replace it. Any of them you don't think look too good, you can delete from within the software with just a click. Pretty sweet deal, and it's all free, but I suggest that donations are a good thing 🙂

Please give your opinions about the Samsung i500 PDA phone.
I'm a business student at San Jacinto College in Houston, TX. I have a formal report due (draft) Sunday, November 28. Also, I must use primary research and the Internet does not count as primary research; however, a forum, which I started the thread does count as primary research.
I'm comparing the Samsung i500, Treo 650, and Toshiba 2032.
I am using the following criteria in my comparison: price, weight/size, battery life, screen size, ringer options, and extras included.
Thank you!

Great link, thanks for the info 🙂
But, when I go to send a message, I get a server error. The web works in the phone. What elese do I need to do?

From what I understand, you can't. The i500 doesn't have the ability to send text messages as part of its "built-in" functionality.
I'm trying an add-on program called "SMS Text Messenger" (which I downloaded from: http://www.i500.nopdesign.com/apps.esiml). There are probably others out there, too.

You can indeed text message with the I500. Go to www.pdaapps.com and download their I500SMS app. It costs a few bucks but its worth it. You don't have to choose a carrier and if you don't have unlimited txt messaging, you're not charged for outgoing txts. You are charged for incoming ones tho.
You're welcome.
