Samsung Zeal / Alias 2 SCH-U750
New Alias 2 does not fold all the way.
I just unwrapped my phone and I'm disappointed to find that when I fold the phone, it folds all the way in half but then springs back to about 1/4 inch open when at rest. Instead of folding with a reassuring click or snap to be completely together, there is this gap:

It's a little thing, but it's really annoying me. Anyone else get a phone like this? Do most of them close properly? If so, I might send mine back for a replacement.

my husband and i both have this phone and neither of them close like that. they close perfectly fine. they don't spring open like yours does. i would return/exchange for a phone that isn't defective. hope this helps!

You are right. I brought the phone in with the intention of exchanging it (for which they at first wanted a $35 restocking fee 🙄 ). They recognized that it was broken, but it turned out to be an easy fix:
There is a plastic cover on the main hinge of the phone which covers up a small screw. On my phone, the cover had been dislodged and was hanging out, getting in the way every time the phone closed and pushing it back apart. By fixing the cover in place the phone was able to fold just fine.
