Easy texting question

Short and simple: Can I type over 160 characters to other Verizon customers and receive them as well? I tend to write stories in my texts so I need to make sure I don't have to shorten my typing, lol. Thanks to anyone who has an answer!

yes. to other verizon users it counts in pages (up to 7) so you can have a lot more than 160 characters
