In Verizon Stores?
Just wondering if anyone knows when this phone will be available in the stores? I hear some folks saying they have them. I stopped in two Verizon stores (Union NJ, Westfield NJ) and the sales help did not even know about the phone. Called 800 Verizon to ask when they will be shipped to stores and they said they did not know, but normally a week after released on the web. Anyone know when they will be shipped, or the best way to get my hands on one? Thanks.

Hey! I did the same thing today (Chicago). No store has them. Even went to Sprint and they don't have them either. Only available through telesales at this point. Just sent an email to Thomas Tauke at Verizon asking for more information.

I checked the Westfield VZW store as well last friday and was disappointed. I also went to the store on 22 in Watchung, not only did they not have it, but their selection there sucks. They dont even have Omnia on display (which I guessing means the Omnia II will show up soon).
I think Im going to go to a Sprint store so I can at least look at it, feel and touch it. Im concerned the heavy weight of it will disappoint me.

I haven't been able to find them in any sprint store either here in the NW Washington. Called sprint and they lied and said all stores have thembut none do... The stores says that they can't find any in the stores in the country... Guess I'm gonna goto tmobile to look at it atleast!

I'm almost positive I saw one in the VZW store in the Freehold Mall, in anycase if you want to check one out, Sprint Corporate Stores have them, as well as TMO. The former is basically outside of cosmetic differences, what you ...

Thanks everyone. The T-Mobile store (springfield NJ for locals) had a live one in the back room. They were going to open the box and take it out for me to play with but I did not since I will get it from Verizon.
How come I am not surprised that if I go into a store they don't know what I am talking about, and if I call Verizon on the phone no one knows what I am talking about???? Looks like everyone has had a similar experience. I guess they will be out soon.

Hey guys. I ordered mine over the phone and got it in two days. When I took it into the verizon store they didn't have the phone and didn't know it even came out yet. What's going on is all the pre-orders, over the phone and internet phones are shipping first. The rep at verizon said they should get them either this weekend or next week sometime. I recommend just calling verizon and buying it that way.
The phone is great and verizon didn't dumb the phone down at all. It's a world phone with sim card inside, and they even left the Wi-Fi on the phone. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I went online and ordered it today. With my new every 2 it cost $99.00. It was such a good deal I paid $8.99 for Fedex overnight shipping. Should see it tomorrow.

Jerseygeorge if you got the phone for $99 you might want to call verizon like ASAP and make sure they didn't send you the original Touch Pro. The TP2 is $299 with $100 rebate. The first TP is listed at $99. So I'd double check which phone you actually got.

I am pretty sure its the touch pro 2 they are getting, cause he would have gotten the original touch pro for free. When ordering online you instantly get the $100 off, and then the NE2 gives you an additional $99 off...which makes the sales price $99 before tax. I was looking to go this route, but jumped the gun and order it by phone because it was not showing as an upgrade for me.

When T-Mobile's TP2 came out, the same thing happened. The CC reps, and the stores reps acted like they didn't know about the phone, or that it hadn't come out yet. LOL. Poor marketing from HTC too.
