Well, I got mines yesterday. I called last weekend after the website showed it was sold out and was able to get one after talking to a couple of people. Its available....

Yea...I've talked to them since last weekend about 5 times and they dont have anything. One even gave me the direct sales number to HTC. SO its NOT available...

While I'm not on VZW, I did talk to a VZW rep who had a demo phone in his store and told me, if I wanted one, he can order and it will either be shipped to the store or my home, he wasn't pushy, nor seemed to be un-knowledgeable. So who knows just when it would be shipped? Doing fulfillment orders on other carriers, usually its a week to 10 days in the past.

Thats what I was thinking. I know it will definitely be able to upgrade to Win Mo 6.5, but I am not sure about Win7 since that seems to be way off in the future of 2010. Looking at the specs of this phone it looks like the processor speed is about half that of the Imagia, so I would maybe question if it could run Win 7?
As a side note I have been running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition and it works great on the computer. It looks like Microsoft may just be getting its act together 🙂

I like Windows 7...except for the fact that it ALWAYS gives a BSOD when waking up from sleep. It is a known problem with NVIDIA video cards.

what's going on with this phone, I was hoping to buy it from customer service and they told me they had none in stock as well. And I went to the store, nada but they did have the imagia, the salesman was trying to pitch it to me, but it has no qwerty keyboard. I just saw a pic of the motorola android due to launch oct 28, looks similar to the pro 2. Could this be a reason?

My theory is that VZW is waiting for WinMo6.5 for the TP2.
I have watched VZW's web site and seen this thing go from out of stock to in stock and back out of stock in one day.
I hope my patience in waiting for 6.5 pays off.
