battery life?
Can anyone tell me how good the battery life is on this phone? I currently have the LG Wave and will be upgrading to the HTC Touch Pro 2 in June when it's time to renew our contract and get new phones. The LG Wave has very poor battery life. I don't really do anything but text with it and the battery is almost dead by the end of my school day. So I'm looking for a phone that has really good battery power. I really like this phone and all the features have I really think it's the phone for me I just need to know how good the battery power is! Please let me know! Thank you!

Have had my HTC TP2 for two weeks now. Was able to trade-up to this one after having 4 HTC Touch Pro's in one year. The TP2 is everything that that the TP should have been. The TP2 came to me as an exchange so they sent it without a battery. Then, they sent a Verizon extended battery to me the next day.
It works great. I can do a regular charge at night. Take it off charge when I go to work in the morning and it usually will last all that day, over night and till evening the next day. I am very pleased.
This phone took me about a week to make the mental transition from the TP. It is the best windows mobile experience that I have had.
I now am trying to get the nerve up to update to windows mobile 6.5.

Other users have complained of poor battery life after doing the 6.5 upgrade.
I got my phone new about a week ago and immediately put 6.5 on it. Battery lasted about five hours after first full night charge, but lasts longer now, maybe eight hours, especially with auto-update of weather disabled.

I think it was to do more with what you do with your phone. I have eight email accounts set up on my phone, two of them are direct push and the other six go out and check for email every two hours. I also will set and play sudoku during my breaks and a little web surfing every now and then and I also use a Jawbone headset that streams the phone's noises to it along with the music that I have loaded on it.
So I consider myself a heavy user and I need to charger my phone up twice a day. But on the weekend it's not to bad I don't have my emails checked as often and I'll only need to charge my phone once a day unless I go for a long walk using my A2DP headset to listen to music. I also use Microsoft My Phone which backs up my phone around 1:0...
