Anything "better" than a Touch Pro2 coming in next few months?
Hello!
My XV6800 is slowly failing and the TP2 looks quite good as a replacement, especially if it has WinMo 6.5, which I suspect may be the reason they are not available on line...waiting for 6.5.
Are there any phones rumored to be coming to VZW by the end of the year that have the features of the TP2?
Must haves:
WinMo Pro
ActiveSync
Manual keyboard
WiFi
"World phone" capability
Speaker-independent voice dialing
GPS that works with Google Maps
Thank you!
Gregg

Upgrading to WinMo 6.5
Any idea how to do an upgrade? Over the Air or via PC Sync?
And whether 6.5 will make the TP2 run slower or otherwise affect performance?

End Call Button
Hi all, it's my first post.
First off, I love my Touch Pro 2 (Verizon). The only thing I have noticed lately is that it seems like the "End Call" buttom seems to be "sinking". The left side of the button is dipping down. While the functionality of the button doesn't seem to be effected, I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue.
Thanks!
Apps

Does the TP2 have a Suretype Keypad available in portrait mode?
app storage
biggest pet peeve of the blackberry app world is that you can only archive your apps onto a memory card- you cannot store and run the apps. this means you can only have a very limited amount of apps at any given time.
with the touch pro 2 or any win mo phone, can you run your apps (especially when they have a better catalog) from the memory card?

Touch Pro 2 in WMP 6..5 when?
Hi Guys! I am ready to upgrade to TP2 from my trusty i760, but am wondering when the WM 6.5 version will be available. On VZW web site the TP2 is currently out of stock, I am assuming they halted the 6.1 shipments in anticipation of the 6.5.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
google integration
i'm really getting tired of blackberry- same software inside of a different piece of hardware for years now. but i will have a hard time leaving blackberry because of google sync. the ability to have a "mini bes" by ota sync of my contacts and calendar is crucial. will this phone, or any winmo phone support google sync or an equivalent?

Storm User Who Needs a NEW Phone (Question re: push email)
SO I am a fed up BB Storm user and I am checking into new phones. I am debating btw the HTC, the storm 2 and the palm pre.
Some things I know: The Pres battery life is horrendous but I love the UI and its size and the keyboard I could most likely get used too.
The Storm2, I like my Storm but its been nothing but a problem since Day 1 last November 2008 so I am a little iffy.
This brings me to the HTC. The keyboard looks great and the UI seems nice from all the reviews I've seen online.
My main concern is someone told me that this device doesnt have Push email and you have to set the phone to an interval to retrieve the email. Is this true? If the size is that significant I figure its nothing my purse/car cant handle! đ Just lookin...

Sprint or Verizon?
Now that AT&T has announced, I can finally make a decision on which version of the phone to get. I have already eliminated T-Mobile and AT&T for not having a headphone jack. I have had to deal with a headphone dongle for my MotoQ9h and I couldn't tell you where the dongle is right now. I will never again buy a phone without a standard headphone jack.
Both Sprint and Verizon have the headphone jack and Sprint just lowered the price to match Verizon's. It looks like Sprint is $10 cheaper for the lowest voice plan with unlimited data/msg plan. Is there any other reason I should choose one over the other?
Ringer Volume
So i'm tempted to get this, but the thing that made me get rid of my old smartphone was the ringer volume was very low. So how's the volume on this thing, is it loud or just moderate. How does it compare to "dumb" phones in terms of how loud it gets.

Why a physical keyboard?
Half the size of this phone (literally) is the keyboard. Why not have a touch-screen keyboard and cut the size of the device, along with the weight?

How is the tilt screen? I had the ATT tilt for about a day and a half, and returned it because of the tilt. Do it feel sturdy?

T-Mobile ROM on HTC Touch Pro 2
Just letting you guys know i have the T-Mobile HTC Touch Pro 2 and i uninstalled the ROM that it came with it and installed the European version ROM and the Touch Flo 3D seems to run more smoothly. Also I'm glad i was able to get the Black Theme not the Blue one that comes with the T-Mobile ROM also i just realized that i can now Conference Call with 5 people instead of the 3 that T-Mobile restricted it to.

First impressions....
I ordered my TP2 from VZW phone sales and received it on 9/15. I've been a long time Windows Mobile user, having had the Q, Q9m and Q9c. My Q9c has been an excellent phone for me, however I've had problems with dust under the screen lately. My 2yr renewal was up and I wanted a phone that offered more features and bigger screen, so TP2 fit perfectly.
As you may have read from others, I was surprised at the weight of the phone. It's very well constructed, which translates to very heavy. Not a deal breaker, but sure wish it was lighter. I feel like I'm carrying a compact digital camera in my pocket.
Overall, I'm impressed with this phone. The performance is good and it has an excellent screen and keyboard. I'm syncing work exchang...
