Turn by Turn Nav?
...or lack thereof.
I though that was one of the things that the new software/phone was supposed to have. Have I just not found it yet? Or am I going to have to go out and buy an expensive Tom Tom piece of eqipment made for the iPhone. This is sort of a crock as they billed the new software as offerimg this.

are you serious?
have you tried Googling "turn by turn for the iphone"?
Currently there are several applications available for the iphone that allow TBTD for the iphone!
if your poor or just plain ignorant( a good example would be not knowing there are apps for TBTD in the app store) your best bet would be the AT&T Navigator- its free to download and very easy to use- 9.99 a month

no...I just come immediately to phonescoop cause I know there a bunch of nerd geeks who have way more time to waste perusing the internet and the app store. fwiw....type "turn by turn" into the app search and tell me what comes up on your screen....just a bunch of twilight bullshit and everything other than navigation. I dont need it bad enough to spend another ten bucks a month.

The new software actually allowes devleopers to make apps for turnbyturn something they had not allowed in the past. The Tomtom dock looks pretty sweet but you don't have to buy the dock to use the software. And even at 100$. It only take 10 months to catch up ro the AT&T crap.

I didn't mean to be condescending but I don't do other people homework... for free

I hate to say it, but you -were- condescending in your first post. And you obviously DO like doing other people's homework for free or else you wouldn't have clicked on someone else's post asking a question in the first place.
I don't understand why people in forums can't just answer the questions that they can help on, and leave the rest alone. Not everyone is a genius on the iphone. I for one used to own a Verizon Wireless Authorized Retail store a few years ago, so I'm VERY knowledgeable on phones in general, but I don't know much about the iphone, hence why I'm here reading what you might deem "stupid questions."

and only an iphone use has the condescending audacity to talk to you like you're an idiot for not researching or purchasing something that many smarthones are capable of right out of the box (with the appropriate data plan of course).

AT&T just released their GPS Navigator. I installed it on my IPhone and it works well. I previously purchased Navigon, it is ok, not great..loses signal.
Just load AT&T Navigator, but remember it costs 10 bucks a month.
