Is this phone worth switching from Verizon?
For those of you who have switched from Verizon to AT&T for this phone, is it worth it? I am in the Atlanta area. Thank you.

I work for verizon and get a discount on service and still switched. IMO the phone is awesome, the service all depends on your area.

I switched when the 3g phone came out paid 145 early term. and wouldn't do a thing different. I get more dropped calls in the Toledo area then on VZ but that's minor. Just go to the AT&T store play with a 3gs for a little bit it awesome phone. Use the Internet for everything on the phone. Weather,games, tools concrete calculator, construction calculator etc. App store is at 70+ thousand no other carrier can offer close to that it's going to be years before they do.

Well I actually bought my phone directly from Apple after ATT refused to cut a deal. I paid $100.00 for the phone and mailed my old 3G back to Apple.
I think the phone is cool but the service areas and call quality stink. I live in an area that is covered by cell towers everywhere yet ATT still drops my calls, no service at all and complaints from callers when the phone is working that my voice is breaking up.
I get 5 bars and then all of a sudden 2 bars or less not even moving.
Stay with Verizon. My wifes $49.00 Verizon phone works everywhere.
