Can someone please tell me about the iPad?! I am on a closed network and cant research myself but have customers asking about it. Is it basically just a tablet pc but from apple? From what I've read/heard it almost seems like an expensive electronic book but just want to clarify.

alright i have a quick ? for you IPHONE users....i currently use the DROID ERIS and have been thinking about comming over to the IPHONE.....the few things that are keeping me from moving to the iphone is that i would be downgradeing to a 3 megapixel camera from a 5 megapixel camer...this IS a BIG deal for me being that i travel A LOT...also id be looseing the android market and OS which i REALLY REALLY REALLY like....my girlfriend has the IPHONE and it is very customizeable however just not quite as much as my ERIS ...i would really like to go to the iphone because of the larger screen and because it comes with twice the memory which i need for my pics and stuff like that...pretty much i am to the point that im about to honestly take a quar...

A newbie question:

I use a simple GMS (factory unlocked) Samsung phone now with an ATT Simm card (pay as you go).

Would like to consider an iPhone 3G and would use it mostly for GPS, photos, Wi-Fi.

If I get an unlocked 3G model can I simply insert my present or another ATT simm card? (I called ATT and was told I had to go to a store to find out).

I am finally caving in and trying to leave Blackberry for an iPhone. Any recommendations on making battery life last? My Storm battery lasts 3x as long as the iPhone 3G S. Is there an app or something that can manage or increase battery strenght?

Can anyone name an iPhone Innovation?

Say, do your Iphones allow Voice Commands for initiating a call over a Bluetooth headset? That always worked with all my other phones for the last several years with both Verizon and AT&T. I have accounts on both for when one network or the other is weak in an area I'm traveling in. But I have found that with my Droid on Verizon, that feature simply does not work and its not a flaw in my phone, Verizon acknowledges that it doesn't work with the Droid for some reason no one can explain. The bluetooth works for everything else on the phone including answering calls and the phone works well. But that one missing feature makes this phone illegal to use while driving in most States. I'm surprised that AT&T has not exploited that in their Ads y...

Just left Verizon after years. Had been using their BB's and I love them. Verizon customer service sucks though. Had multiple problems with a Pearl and they kept telling me they sent a new one. Weeks later, still no phone. So on Black Friday when the iPhone 3gs Refurb was selling for $49 in the 16gig, I jumped ship. Bought 2 of them. Had 2 phones on my account (1 in contract, 1 out) and canceled a contracted. iPhone kills BB anyday. Verizon missed the boat on this one. The Driod can never compare.

BUT.....ATT Sucks. It is just that simple.

My buddy who lives in Tucson switched from Verizon to ATT so he could have the iphone. Now when talking to him there are many more dropped calls and garbled speach.

I recently flew to Tucson and we drove to Malta Montana. I had Verizon coverage when he had none and many more times I had 3G when he did not. He drove most of the time so I had my laptop teathered to my phone surfing the net. This really pissed him off.

I want the iphone but will not get one until verizon does. Having an iphone on att is like driving a porche on a dirt road.

I bought a Iphone unlocked i had a data plan but the phone did not recognized the internet conection. If anyones knows how can i configure my iphone with the correct apn and all thats stuff its for Att and for tmobile too. Thanks a lot.

Short of jailbreaking, are there any apps that I'm just not seeing that would allow me to multi-task. If I was in an app and received a text I could jump out of the app and send a response without having to restart the app??

i was curious if anyone got the tethering to work on their iphones, and if so did att charge them for tethering. im on an account wit the fam, and i think the bill went from like 130 to 200. anyone getting charged for tethering??

Wondering if you can use the iphone to tether for a laptop to use the internet connection from it AND talk on it at the same time?

Thinking with AT&T's new plans we may be able to save money by doing this as right now we have dedicated accounts for our laptops through Verizon - quite expensive.

Since I've heard you can browse the internet and talk at the same time on AT&T's network thinking we may be able to utilize that for tethering our laptops?

I love my iPhone but I am not that happy with AT$T. I had heard rumors that Verizon was going to carry the iPhone sometime in the future. Anyone hear any supposed dates?

iPhone with Verizon's reliability is too much to pass up. I will jump ship in a heart beat. The ONLY thing keeping me on AT$T is the iPhone.

I Love apple and am considering switching my verison blackberry for AT&Ts iphone. BUT I live in the Green Bay/Appleton area of Wisconsin and have heard horrible things about the iphones coverage around here.
Any input or opinion? I'd love to hear it.

anyone know when they may start selling iPhone 3gs refurbs?

I have four email addresses on my iPhone, 2 set up for Push and 2 for Fetch, every 15 min. The ones with Push suppose to arrive immediately, however for one of them (which is Microsoft Exchange) it takes 15 min, just like with Fetch. Please help. Thanks

I have an Iphone 3gs and I don't have the iphone plan. I do have a data plan. I want to know if I can still get Visual Voicemail? If yes how do I get it to work?
