Battery life on the Motorola Cliq

Is there an application and/or setting that needs to be turned off so the battery life doesn't run out so fast?

1) Turn down the screen brightness to about 30%. there is no reason to have it all the way up.

2) Turn off 3G.

3) Download and run TasKiller to shut down background apps.

You can go about 36 hours between charges this way.
