Motorola Droid
Question for a verizon rep.
I get credit on what I sell not where I send you
If you buy it at full retail then you wont have to worry about a rebate becasue they wont give you one.
Its not so much the credit Im worried about, because truth to be told the Droid is on of VZW phones we have with the least amount of data potential (payout wise) because it dosent support any V services. Its pretty much an empty phone that the user customizes (which is cool) but dosent maximize earning potential.
As much as I like the idea of this phone I also realize this wont be the 2nd coming of Christ in a phone or anything. Some people will get it and love it, while others will hate it becasue o...

However, if you purchase a phone online and then go to a store when you have questions, expect a colder reception than someone who actually bought the device in store.
You are not lying! I would be so mad! It's the same as when someone would buy from one corporate store and then come to mine. Ish happens! That's why corporate reps get paid SALARY plus commission and not just straight commission. Besides most retail stores have Retail Customer Support reps to handle those questions. The sales rep will wave the customer over to the CSR as soon as they realize it is not a sale anyway.
The worst part is the corp store near here starts sending local customers to our store after they sign them up for new phones because were are there for "local customer service."

You buy a phone from best buy, you go to best buy when you have customers.
A rep doesn't care how long you've been a customer because a rep makes very little money if they don't sell devices (and they risk their jobs by not hitting quotas)
Reps will still help you, but it is horribly rude of you to demand someone's time (keeping them from sales) and not purchase the device from them.

I am going to buy the Droid from Best Buy on Friday. I want to know if my $100 NE2 discount will be honored at Best Buy? Can anyone help me with this question?
For future reference this is really something that should be asked to the place you plan on getting the phone from (so in this case Best Buy).
This also is not something that a VZW employee would likely know the answer to, as how indirect agents work is a little confusing since not all agent locations can do the same things (such as offer your NE2 credit)
In customer service we used to have a chart that told us why type of agents could do what, but I dont know if it is still something available and if it is no idea where it woul...
