phone shutting itself off?
so far the droid has shut itself off a few times for no apparent reason...any ideas?

I've had the same problem. My phone "power cycles" several times a day. It has even done it during a phone call!

4 times today this phone just restarted on me- and one of the times it didn't turn back on by itself. happens when i plug it in- when i send a text- or just stare at it. getting a replacement- but was wondering if anyone's heard of a cause or a fix?

it is called a defective phone or you have installed an app causing a problem. If you havent installed anything, your phone is bad and you need to either call customer service or go back to the store you got it from to get a replacement.
The phone should never be restarting itself.
If it happens again on your replacement, reset the phone back to default settings and dont change anything. If the phone doesnt power cycle, then put your personal settings back on, if it starts to power cycle again that means there is a conflict with something you have set and you should play around to figure out what it is or just contact motorola to let them know when you put in those settings it does it and they will figure out what combo does it and fix i...
