Motorola Droid
Any word on Android 2.1 Update
I really love this phone, but I can't get the exchange to work on it because there are features that are not supported by that phone in place.

Today Motorola announced via its official Facebook page that users of the Motorola Droid should expect their devices to update to Android version 2.1 at some point this week. The company said, "We're happy to relay the 2.1 upgrade to Droid will start to roll out this week, and we will have more information to share on other device upgrades later this week as well." Motorola didn't state which features would be included with the update, nor exactly when Verizon will begin to deliver the update to end users. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has publicly said that it will update the Motorola CLIQ to Android 2.1.
If my understanding is correct, however, some of those security settings are configuration choices made by the exchange administrators, so you might be able to get your IT department to change some of the policies, and get it to work. However, they are likely to be unwilling to do that, as it could, potentially, open up the exchange server to attack.
Funny how only microsoft products seem to be that vulnerable to attack. 'Nuff said on that subject, I think, for this forum, in any event!
