On this commercial it says it will search for songs in your music collect named or by human
I try the search bar for my music and it will bring up the music app... but not specific songs by title/artist/album nothing
anyone else get this to work on theirs?

On the home screen, hit Menu, Settings, Search. Hit Searchable Items, and choose Music.

thanks for the tip... i didn't have music check, but i do have to admit... its still not searching my music... any ideas?

When I tried, I typed in an artist (Bad Apples) without hitting enter after I finished typing, and the little "searching" icon spins for a few seconds, and then the list says "search web for bad apples" and "more results - music 27 results". When I hit more results, it showed a list there. I don't think you can make it happen quite like the commercial shows, but a double cheeseburger doesn't look like the commercial either.

k.... i have the same expierence... was a little confused that didn't work like the commercial either, but as long as you're doing the same thing then its all good. Thanks for the help

Update on this one. I figured out that after you do 5 or 6 searches, selecting "More Results/Music" and one of the results each time, the Music results will start to appear in the main search results without going to "More Results". Looks like the Search app "learns" after a while that you use that option frequently. Kinda neat.
Additionally, check out the app Searchify to add some neat functionality to the Search bar, like calculations, translations, etc.
