Why oh why must the camera be so bad?
What improvemnent? it still sucks! its still very dark inside, so much that sometimes you cant even see your subject on the screen, you just know its there. its still sloooow and always requires the flash. im coming from an iphone which in comparison was so easy to use and took great pictures indoors and never needed the wash out light of a flash. oh well, life goes on but i was really hoping for more....

The last iPhone I had took terrible pictures, all of them, no matter the light level, came out reddish orange.
My Droid's camera takes great pics, WAAAAY better than an iPhone can.

Well i can only speak for my own experiences. I just did a side by side comparison and the iphone was a lot better especially in low light situations. The droid always wants to use the flash. Why is the droid always so dark?I love everything else about the droid better then the iphone, and i use the camera all the time,so I really want the droid to be better.any help would be appreciated.

Make sure:
-lens is clean
-scene mode is set to AUTO (when I got my phone it was set to night mode)
-White balance and flash should both be auto.
when I first got the phone, it did take some pretty crappy pics, but once I got used to it (and set it up like above) it takes some great ones. not as nice as my dedicated 5mp Kodak, but a heck of a lot better than the typical phone, and the video capture is out of this world

Thanks Menno i appreciate the help. After playing with the camera i have found that the camera is actually pretty good, although still a little dark for me. the flash is very helpful and provides more detail then my iphone. My only complaint is the video camera indoors because you dont have the benefit of the flash. If they could improve upon the video of the phone it would be perfect
