Ending a call
I can't believe I am the only person having this problem, but I often find that when I hit the "End" icon to end a call, the call will not end. In fact, I often have to pull out the battery and re-boot the phone. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution? I am ready to throw this phone away and get something else. It is really annoying, especially when I need to hang up quickly! Any suggestions for a good Android-based phone on Verizon that will work when I hit the "End" key or one that has its own hard-wired "end" button? Thanks.

I guess I have always felt that a second or two is quick enough. Most older phones took that long to respond to the "hardwired" end key, and the cell network itself can take several seconds more to actually disconnect the call.
I find myself wondering why a person "needs" to "hang up quickly". I'm also wondering if the "need" to hang up quickly is coloring the perception of how long it is taking (a la a watched pot never boils).
In any case, the only Android phone on Verizon that I know of with a dedicated end key is the LG Ally.

Thanks for the reply. It is definitely more than a second or two or even a few seconds. It just does not hang up. I hit the key and wait, then hit it again, and wait, then again. It is as if the screen has frozen and won't accept an input. By the way, sometimes I have to hang up quickly because I hit the wrong key and dialed the wrong number.

Are you running a home replacement app? what about a non-standard dialing app? both of these can mess with responsiveness to hanging up.
I've never had an issue with it personally, but I tend to keep pretty close to "stock" experience (or whatever the roms I DL come with)
