Motorola Droid
Android 2.2
I read on Droid Life that the Motorola Droid was going to get update to Android 2.2 this past Tuesday. Did any of you also see this? Any idea when we are going to get this update? I would rather wait for the Authorized release rather than using one off the internet.

No new build of the Official Motorola Updates was released. There is no real idea for when the update will come through. Typically you'll see another build leak beforehand, which should tell you the time is close.
Motorola and Verizon will NOT give an estimated upgrade date because there are always things that can go wrong.
Not only does motorola have to make an upgrade that works perfectly on the phone, but they have to design it so it plays nice with all your existing data and apps. (Custom roms ALWAYS have you do a factory reset before installing). And they have to make sure that the OTA won't break phones.
It's one thing to write a program and tell people who are willing to tinker to instal...
