So if you need to file a claim with Asurion look forward to chosing from the Devour, Ally, or MAYBE the Droid Eris as a comp model...all Moto Droids will be REFURBISHED but that is only IF they are available...and nope, you wont be able to get the Droid X as a comp

the incredible wont be discontinued but the Droid Eris will be pretty soon, since the Incredible replaces the Eris

Going from an Eris to an Incredible is a pretty decent upgrade. Certainly not at all like going to the Eris or the Devour from the Droid.
And sadly, the Devour has issues of its own. My wife's devour croaked, and we went to VZW, they wound up sending us a brand new one that had the same problem... now she has a droid, too. (not a droid 2, I might have swapped her, if that had been the case... 🙂 )

Looks like insurance is out,especially with the new, higher deducibles. Just to be given a Devour or Eris? No Thanks. 🙄

there is rumors that they'll have Droidx and Incredibles as offerings as well. and I'm assuming the droid2 once it comes out.

the droid x wont be offered until some time, the incredible IS offered if you escalate but they have been cutting back because the ppl that actually HAVE incredibles are having to wait behind whinning droid ppl (incredibles are ALWAYS on BKO)

Ok OK don't listen to the tard above, they are discontinuing the droid that doesn't mean that Verizon or Asurion will not have ample supply to do a warranty or insurance claim, believe me on this the only time you will see this major issue is toward the 2 yr mark perhaps... u ask why i know this i work as a premium agent for them for the past 5 years and have only seen a small portion of phones replaced with a alternate. so don't get your panties in a bunch.

so i work for Asurion and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that do to the issues we have faced with not offering the droid, we will be offering cxs REFURBISHED devices, so if that is ok with you then it is AWESOME for me to offer you a phone that was dropped in a pool last week to replace the phone that you dropped out of your car yesterday!
