Saving Apps to my SD Card?
However.. I'm having problems saving the apps that I already had downloaded to my SD card. Is there an app I need to download, or what exactly? Even after the update, when I've downloaded some more apps, they're still saving to the phone itself rather than the external memory.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

{home} ->Menu->Settings->Applications->Manage Applications-> There's a button marked "Move to SD Card" (or if it's already on the SD card, "Move to Phone"). Not all apps can be moved to to the SD Card. In particular, most system apps (like Maps) can't be moved.
Some of the rooted Roms allow you to change the default, but I think the stock 2.2 defaults to phone memory, at least until that's full.
Good thing I don't have that many applications.. It just seems that with all the new abilities we should be able to save any of the applications to the SD card.. I think only about 3 or 4 of mine were able to be moved to my card.. Oh well, hopefully they will just keep improving 🙂
Thank you for the reply!!
Any Home replacement apps (ADW Launcher, Launcher Pro, etc)
-Any apps that use Widgets (Beautiful Widgets, slacker, etc)
-Anything that interacts with the network a lot (twitter, facebook, etc)
Moving to SD card will slow these things down, which can cause your phone to hang if they are trying to access that data. (look at the issues with Lag on the Galaxy S phones.. this is because ALL app data is stored on an SD card instead of ROM)
