Motorola Droid

Anyone know? I tried the manual setup steps that were posted on Phandroid but they didn't work, Wi Fi off and all. For a workaround, I have saved the Yahoo mail login page as a bookmark, and created an icon on one of my home pages for it.

I have an iphone and i was thinking of changing due to the wonderful signal of ATT. how is the screens resolution? according to phonescoop its suppose to be better thanks

does anyone know how to use T9 dialing on this droid? the HTC Eris works great if I want to call mike I can dial 645 and any contact with that combination comes up. I've tried superdial and easy dial pro but the digits are smaller in those 2 apps which make them harder to use.

Never felt such a short and weak vibrate. Anyone else notice this or have a solution?

Does anyone know how to get the street view from google maps to work when in GPS mode? My GPS seems to work fine. It takes me to where I program it to go but I can not seem to activate the street view feature. 😕

Does anyybody know it means when the DROID icon (generic) is upside down (ie when messenging from a contact that does not have a profile pic)?

I found that my contacts pics were populated or sync with Facebook but now I notice that when contacts update their Facebook pic it is not updating my contacts picture.

Can this be forced?

so when you take video with the phone in portrait mode and then play the video back from say you computer- you have to tilt your head 90 degrees. is there anyway inside the phone to rotate video so it looks proper when taken in portrait mode?

About a week ago the deafult view of my calendar switched from monthly to daily; then, this am the default view changed back to monthly, and midday the defualt view is the agenda....makes no sense how the default view keeps changing, esp as there is no way to change the default view (yes, you can change the views, but the default view is the most backstepped view prior to being back on the homescreen).

Any ideas?

After updating a contact's phone information, the facebook sync'd picture disappeared and refuses to reppear regardless of manual or autosync.

Hi . . . anyone know how to view PDFs from e-mail. I need a good App, does the app need to sync or be setup with e-mail to open, is there a size limitation?

I've installed Beamreader (just did a standard install, nothing about my e-mail app weas asked), I have a PDF attached to my e-mail, at the bottom is a button to view. When I press it I get a loading screen which stays on for about a min or so and then disappears and returns to the e-mail . . . no PDF view.

Any ideas or suggestions? How long should is take to load for viewing? thx

I can "kill" all running apps using an app killer and then make a simple text to a friend, check apps running and see a list of 15. How did the clock, calendar, maps, etc get open without me using the apps or opening them.

Not understanding this. This seem to happen all the time.

Does anyone know if there is some way to have java or flash player on the Droid? I wanted to be able to play on my pogo account and I can't because it says I need flash player or java depending on the game. Thanks in advance...

Anyone notice that the phone is getting buggier as days go on. The phone worked miraculously well at first, and now more and more peculiar things are occuring.

Where the h**l is the appropriate support? Verizon supports by playing with the phone while talking to you, Motorola just sends eveything up tier and does not return phone calls, and Google...well they have become the silent partner.

Can people list specific buggy issues they are experiencing so that we can assemble a consolidated of consistently experienced issues that can be thrown at these companies...they like to say there are no issues.

1. Google Maps/latitude...mapping of tag is not perfectly calibrated
2. Calendar default page changes

When web browsing on the droid does anyone know how to avoid the mobile version of a web page and veiw the full html version if that specific website doesn't have it as an option? Love the phone, but super annoying. Windows mobile devices this is a setting that can be adjusted.

when receiving email notification of receiving emails in 2 or more accounts...when clicking on that notification, isn't it suppose to open the composite inbox?

BTW: Anyone notice that there is no way to empty the hotmail deleted folder, except one by one!?!

I was on the fence about staying with Verizon or buying out my contract and heading over to AT&T and picking up an iphone until I got a early upgrade offer in the mail for the droid, after doing research on it i thought Id give it a shot, so I went ahead and picked the droid up...and I absolutely LOVED it, the gps, the apps, everything! then 2 days ago I got a call in the morning and I was talking while laying in bed, when the person on the other end said that i sounded really far away, I had this problem with the storm a few months back (went through 3 of them) and the problem vanished when i switched to an Omnia. The only place people dont complain about not hearing me is at my computer desk. And when im outdoors I get 2, maybe 3 bars some...
