Motorola Droid

I use AOL for my regular E-mail and have it forwarded to my Droid automatically. However, I find that I end up getting duplicate E-mails of every one sent to my AOL account on my Droid, as if one comes from AOL and the other comes from
g-mail even though only one was sent to AOL. How can I stop this from happening? Also, when I delete my E-mail on my Droid, it also deletes it from my AOL account. Instead of sending it to the "saved" bin, it goes into "Trash." Is there a way to make deleted mail on my Droid get saved an the "saved" bin on AOL so I don't lose it? Thank you.

I thought that google earth was suppose to be available as an app once you go to 2.1?

I am also using Just Pictures app as a live wallpaper of my pictures in my phone. Works well in portrait mode but not in landscape. Does anyone know of anything else that works better?

i just came up with a very usefull app, but i dont know how to make it, i want an app. thats acts as a teleprompter, great for blogging or actors, or interviews(thats what i want it for) seems easy enough to have scrolling words on the screen large in size that u type in throgh they keyboard, can i give someone a 100 bucks or so to make it for me?? im serious about this, how hard is it for moderate tech people to make appss??

since my update my phone has not been giving me the applications list and widgets on my homescreens, this happens when im leaving an application and i have to scroll up and down a few times to get the widgets to appear, my question os this, could this be because i didnt get the update from verizon and downloaded it from a link on this site, also if this MIGHT be the case can i just delete the update from my memory card, and will the new update automaticaly be prompted to install?? or will this even fix the problem, and is anyone else having this problem?

I am doing a lot of driving for work now and occassionally Google maps cannot find GPS. I need to be able to have reliable navigation. Is there a better program available or should I just buy a GPS for my car?

Has anyone found an app that will allow those who have Dish Network TV to access & program from the Droid? I know there is an app for Dish Network for the iPhone, but I don't seem to see one for the Droid.

Just curious to what everyone is running on their droid that they find useful, paid or free.

I just downloaded helixlauncher and its great! and Handcent SMS has replaced the stock messaging application because of its great customization features and I have a bunch of other apps that just amuse my friends, though everyone seems to be envious of the speech to text..it makes texting while driving so much easier

I thought I heard that all android phone were going to get the Verizon market. This would give them 2 markets. Anyone heard anything?

😢 i want the slider that was on my phone when i first got it. the slide over the hill one. from that one i had the slide to the left to answer and to the right to ignore.. i want my old slide back!!!! is there an app i can get or something. please someone help.

I tried the update and get the following message:

I did a "Factory Data Reset" and tried again and got the same error.

That si the only kind of reset I could find. My phone is running DroidMod.

How would I and how can I remove DroidMod?

I hear that this type of case causes the battery to drain faster. Comments?

wow what a dissapointment.i ddidmanual push download that was recommended in my other thread and what is this like half the update or something? i was told we'd get more homescreens, and theres still only 3, theres no text to voice like i was told directly from verizon, also there was suppossed to be a 3d view for the apps, that didn't happen, and i was also told there was another screen landscape when the phone is in my docking station, no go again. Yaknow people for this hype about the update and all the setbacks, this update totally sucked and is virtually useless all i got out of it was some stupid moving wall papers, a news widget, and a different gallery view. man this just gets worse with this phone, i was really looking foward to the...

What improvemnent? it still sucks! its still very dark inside, so much that sometimes you cant even see your subject on the screen,you just know its there. its still sloooow and always requires the flash. im coming from an iphone which in comparison was so easy to use and took great pictures indoors and never needed the wash out light of a flash. oh well,life goes on but i was really hoping for more....

after about 40mins on the phone with verizon, i have confirmed us citizens WILL NOT BE RECIEVING THE 2.1 UPDATE AT ALL!! do to contractual requirments from motorola sucks but its true!!

...from my Blackberry Storm 2. The internet is just so slow and I just can't get used to the touch keypad while texting. Constantly making mistakes AND sending before I really want to (the send button is right below the backspace button).

Anyone switch from the BB storm 2 to the DROID and if so, how do you like it?
