Anything new is a learning curve.

Took maybe a week to get the basics down with the Storm 1 and be comfortable with the phones features I guess. The Storm 2 was easy because it is a similar OS.

If you have had other blackberry's it's easier, otherwise you are dealing with a learning curve with a new OS.

If you are a heavy text or email person, go for something with an actual keyboard. You will be happier. Virtual keyboards use corrective software to compensate for not hitting the right places on the screen. You...

Go for it! It will take about a week, but with the S2 it's much easier to use. You won't regret it.

Plus, VZW has a 30 guarantee, so if you don't like the S2, you have plenty of time to exchange it for something else.

It's a love/hate relationship 🤣 The Storm 1 was my VERY first BlackBerry, and I even got it on Valentine's day!!!

Just like the other responses, it took me almost a week to get used to the touch screen for texting. And I'm a HEAVY texter and Email girl. With the new 5.0 OS on Storm 1, I am even in MORE love with my Storm.

It will take time and patience to get used to the touchscreen, but definitely worth it 😁

I find the touchscreen on the Storm 1 and 2 completely different than any other touchscreen out there. At first when I tried it i thought it was nice to have the whole surepress clicking experience, but after using other touchscreen phones (iphone, and droid), I realize I really don't like the surepress technology on the storms. It's definately a learning curve, but just know that there are other devices out there with a better touchscreen keyboard.

See thats an interesting point because I went from using the LG Voyager to the Storm 9530 and now the Storm 9550. I tried the Imagio for 2 weeks but I missed my feedback I got from the surepress and I missed my blackberry specifically BBM!

I suppose its to each his/her own, but it definitely needs some getting used to. I am now, quicker on my storm than on a regular keyboard. I cant imagine going back to anything smaller than a 3 inch screen though!

I say go for it. I am all over any new devices, etc and when I got my orginal storm the day it came out in 2008 I really wasnt sure about it. It was my first BB/smart phone and there was a huge learning curve PLUS the keyboard. I know everyone says take a week...but I say take 2 weeks. I am using the 9550 now and i LOVE IT. I even got the upgrade on my 9530 to OS 5.0, and although it fixed a ton of problems the software+hardware upgrades in the 9550 are A-MAZING. I have found that when typing dont worry about typing everything 100% bc the phone is smart and makes auto corrections very accurately allowing u to type faster than I think on a regular keyboard.

I used the Imagio for 2-3 weeks before the 9550 came out and VZW gave me no proble...
