Screen turning on on SMS alert
Is there a way to get the phone display to come on when you are receiving a text or email, like it does when you are receiving a call? I get allot of sports and news texts at all hours so I keep it on vibrate. But if I have the phone out of my pocket, it would be nice to see.

Your looking for pop-up notification. I have an app call Aerize Email Alerts. It will display Email, SMS, calls, and do so in any combination you set. You can also set the time period the display remains on the screen.
