Backup Assistance
Upgraded to the new software via the phone. I now have the Backup Assistance App. Installed it and it worked fine, I did the exact same process to my wife's Storm2 and no back up Assistant Icon, and can't seem to find it anywhere, any ideas? I already called and talked to two tech reps. they said they will get back to me Saturday. Any ideas, anyone? ๐คจ

I've had Backup Assistant for quite some time, running on my LG Voyager Texting Phone. I was under the impression that this service is proprietory from Verizon and functions in the background. It wouldn't surprise me if you will not find an icon applicable with this service. It also wouldn't surprise me if you do not hear back from VZN Techs. You can bring your Storm into a Verizon store and be amazed at how little the PDA Trouble shooting team knows about the device, the software, or its applications.
B.U.Asst. is being pushed to the 9550. Hasn't hit my device as of yet. The only interaction I've been familiar with is the popup notification advisory from time to time on my LG. I don't know if the BB release is formulated different...

I had on all my phones before ths Storm 2, then the icon just showed up after I upgraded the software, worked great, just wierd that my wife's phone didn't get it. Oh well, if anyone else has any more info. please post it.

Go into your "set up" file, select email settings, click Blackberry menu key, click service books, then click send service books. ๐
