Problem with google mail?
I just realized the only mail I'm NOT receiving on my Eris is my gmail. I get verizon mail, yahoo mail, etc. but not gmail. That's a little weird because i set up the gmail account before I got the phone and my contacts all appeared magically on my phone. It's not putting calendar appointments on the phone either which I know it used to do. Do I need to do something specific to get the automatic sync working? Thanks in aadvance.

Be sure that you enable IMAP support in your Gmail settings. You'll need to sign into the Gmail site, itself, in order to do this.

Ok, I checked and IMAP was enabled. It's strange, I sent some emails from another account to my gmail account, and I received the mail almost 24 hours later. But there was other mail in that mailbox that I was never notified of on my phone. I don't use the gmail account all that much because it's new, and I get all my other email with no problems. It's just weird. I mean, being a google phone. Something must be set wrong, I just can't figure it out.

Hard to say. Do you use any task killers? If so, then make sure that you aren't killing the e-mail apps.

No I do not use any task killer apps. From what I've read, they really are not necessary with android. I find no significant battery drain unless I have WiFi on, so I just don't use it much. Now I did check something to have gmail forwarded to yahoo mail for 30 days I think but I thought I took that off now. Still strange.
