Battery Life/SB time
I hear mixed reviews about the battery life and stand-by time. Is it accurate to what the VZW specs say, or is it worse?

I do not use my cell too much, but I charged mine the day I received it and it lasted a full week. During that time I used about 1 hour of talk time, sent and received about 50 texts, and took about a dozen pics.

I have an Intensity II and so does my granddaughter -- we both need to charge ours at least every other night.
Very little talk time used - maybe 50-60 texts in and out on mine, about twice that on hers. Maybe one or two pictures taken and sent.
I charged my phone fully night before last. When I was getting ready to go to bed last night the phone was showing two bars of battery left (half the total). I just left the phone on. No calls or messages in or out overnight but this morning the phone had turned itself off, when I turned it on, it showed the Low Battery screen and turned itself back off. So the phone apparently used up those last two bars of battery life in about 9 hours of pure standby time.
