I had this phone for about a month now, with verizon, and my vocie echo's and i'm the only one who can here it not the person on tghe other line!

i noticed the echo also, but it was never really THAT annoying enough to make me want to change the phone. one thing i did notice though, i set the auto volume off and took out the rubber gromet that protects the charger port under the mouthpiece and i haven't heard it echo since. try it out and post here if that does anything to help the echo problem for you...

yeah, i noticed it didn't work also after i posted it. i did notice something though after making several phone calls. i am not 100% sure about this or not, it could have been a coincidence, but ever call i made to cell phone didn't echo and every call i made to a landline phone did echo. try it out for a few days and let me know if you notice the same thing or if it was just a coincidence on my part.
the only other thing i can think of that may effect the echo is if you change the voice privacy from enhanced to regular. if you want, try this out also and post a reply here on what you discovered.

alot of echo issues are cause ur using two towers to transmit the call. try updating the PRL by dialing *22890. that should fix it.

i did that the night i got the phone (the *22890 call) and it didn't do anything. in fact, it caused a bug with camera that wore off after a few hours (the white balance/darkness bug that some people claim to have). i turned down the earpiece volume to medium, which is actually a bit better for me, and the echo stopped all together.
