VX6000 Banner not appearing

I've set up a banner on my VX6000 - seemingly not much to it - but it's not showing up on my screen. Does anyone know why or what I'm missing?

if you changed the clock to anything other than normal, it will not show the banner because there is no room for it on the screen. go to the menu, then 9 for settings, then 2 for screens and lastly 5 for clocks. then change it to normal, which was the default setting. now, your banner should show above the default Verizon Wireless banner...
