Anyone familiar with this problem with their LG 6000?: just shutting off for no reason, then, when plugging back into the home charger or car adapter, it shows a full battery and operates just fine.

The phone is pnly a few months old!

Thanks in advance for your replies.

if it's re-booting, as in shutting off then turning back on, mine did it twice on back-to-back nights. i updated my PRL (*228 send, option 2) the next day and it hasn't done it since, and this was about a month ago...

i know someone else that did it and it stopped doing it as well and i also know someone who tried it and it didn't help. try it and see what happens, it should cause it to stop. the same thing happens from time to time on a PC, and honestly when you think about it the 6000 is just like a little PC...

thanks for your insight. Actually, the phone just shuts off without rebooting. I have to plug it in to a charging source and physically turn in back on.

May have been a fluke. Such finicky electronics we have!

Thanks again.

it could also be a bad battery or one of the contacts may not not actaully be making contact. take it into a VZW store if you can, and have them check out the battery and the contacts. if neither of those are the problems, make a *22899 send call and it shouls hopefully correct it. if not, then if i was you i would do a warranty exchange if it's under a year old. if the phone re-starts, most people don't mind because anything they miss would be immediately noticed. if the phone shuts off totally, you may miss something important and that's not a good thing. that's what the warranty is for...

Yes I have had this happen too. I get a lot of text messages and if alot come in it will shut itself and then back on again. It doesn't bother me as long as it comes back on again.
