LG VX-6000
Analog service & battery life?
I'm interested in purchasing the LG VX 6000 but was wondering if the phone offered analog service as well as digital? Also, I've heard mixed reviews regarding the battery life of this model, overall, does it have a decent (2+ days) battery life?

it is a ditial only phone, so no it doesn't offer analog service. and as far as battery life goes, it honestly depends. i have had times when i charged it in the morning and then had 3 seperate hour long phone calls and i had 1 bar left, which is about right. there have been other times when it was in standy for a few days and had an hour long conversation and then it also went down to 1 day, which i think is weak. it should be ok, maybe a bit less than you are expecting. to be honest though, you can get an aftermaket extended or original standard battery from eBay for less than $10 each if you want a thicker one that last longer or just another standard one as back up. i have the second one as backup and i am fine, and i leave the phone on ...

thanks a lot! i appreciate the quick and thorough reply. it leaves me with one more question though...would you say that you've been happy with your phone selection? have you ever had trouble finding a signal without the analog option?

I have this phone with US Cellular, and I find in borderline areas this phone actually got better reception than my old tri-mode VX4400. Obviously in a true analog area this phone will not work, but there aren't many of those around here. Hope this helps
